Fremington Quay Cafe offering The Westcountry's Finest Produce
Here at Fremington Quay Cafe we are proud to offer some of the Westcountry’s finest produce:
We believe there is nothing better than top quailty Devon cheese, we source this from Hawkridge Farmhouse Dairy, Coldridge, crediton & Johns of Instow, Marine Parade, Devon.
We buy our free range eggs from retired farmer John Hill. His happy chickens live just around the corner from us, at Penhill in Bickington.
Ingrid and Peter Smith of Lane End Farm supply us with organic chicken & pork sausages, their farm sits on the edge of Exmoor. Our fresh fruits and vegetables are supplied by the Stacey family at Xanadu, in Torrington.
Our seafood is sourced from North Devon fisherman Scott Wharton & Lee Burdis partnership with Dennis family fishmongers, Scott has five boats fishing off of Ilfracombe. Old time friend and registered fishmonger Bruce Hamman also supplies seafood. Fresh crab to the cafe doors, fishing from Appledore on the 20 foot Lauren Dan.
Bakery produce is sourced from Reeds Bakery just across the river at Chivenor. Paul and Wendy reed run their family business of 63 years, they supply us delicious fresh bread daily.
Tea, coffee & hot drinks are supplied to us by Bryan Stoneman at Perfilta Coffee, Barnstaple. We buy only the best Fair Trade coffee, high quality teas and Cadburys hot chocolate.
We use Luscombe drinks because they have been making beautiful drinks since 1975. Based on a farm in deepest Devon, all of the drinks are crafted with exceptional care. Gabriel David, the head of the family-owned business, sources the ingredients direct from growers he trusts, only the best goes in the bottle.
Finally.......we cannot forget for chilled and ambient supplies, we use South West based wholesaler Phillip Deniis food service and Ilfracombe food service.
